About The Workshop

This is a 3-day workshop held in East London, covering the essentials of rug weaving, using an upright rug loom. In the class you’ll learn how to warp your loom, weave a complete flat-woven rug and how to take it off the loom and prepare it for use.

This class is suitable for both beginners and experienced weavers.

Before the class we will be in touch via email to help you prepare and plan your rug design. During the class you’ll set up your loom, choose your colour scheme and begin transforming your design into a handwoven rug.

We’ll cover the foundational principles of rug weaving and how to apply these in your woven work in the future. There will be plenty of time for one-to-one teaching as well as opportunities to ask weaving questions.

Booking Options

We offer two booking options

• Pay Deposit- you can opt to pay a £120 non-refundable deposit to reserve your space on the class. We will invoice you 8 weeks before the start of the class to pay the remaining balance of £240. This must be paid 6 weeks before the start of the class, or your booking will be cancelled.
  

• Pay In Full - you can opt to pay the full ticket cost of £360. This includes a non-refundable deposit of £120.
